		<description>Speaking from the perspective of one who has interviewed a lot of people, I heartily agree with what you&#039;ve said here. When job gaps look like they&#039;re because the applicant is flaky -- many jobs, in different industries, in a short time-frame -- it&#039;s a red flag that the person may not be worth the investment to hire and train. But when gaps appear to be planned or not the applicant&#039;s fault, and when the applicant has used the time well, it&#039;s generally not a problem. I think employers appreciate that people who are well-rounded and healthy make for good team members, and often those traits result from taking some time to travel, go to school, take care of family, etc.
