I get so irritated when reading "professional" materials and notice many of these common errors. Worse yet, the incorrect use of "I" in the attempt to sound proper! My biggest pet peeve is a recent one, people who somehow concocted the term "I's", as in "Janet and I's apartment." WHAT!? Really!? I's gotta' go now! Thank you! In addition to the grammar mistakes listed above, I have a peeve regarding the statement "borrow me the ...". You don't borrow anyone anything! You lend it! No: Will you borrow me the car tonight?
